Shambhunath Institute of Law was established with the object of imparting quality legal education to the students at affordable costs under the able guidance of Dr. K. K. Tewari, Secretary, Utthan. It is affiliated with Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj (formerly known as Allahabad State University) and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It is also listed in All India Survey of Higher Education (AISHE, Ref: C-59041-2017) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Its geographical position makes it easily accessible by the out-stationers while not secluding itself from the vibrant city life. The college offers five-year integrated B.A.LL.B program with a capacity of 120 seats. SIL promotes collaborative learning in a competitive environment. It promotes representation by way of admission of various sections of society, allowing them to have equal access and exposure to legal education. It lays emphasis on clinical legal education by conducting moot courts, mock trials, and legal literacy camps in nearby villages. In an endeavor to provide social justice, we offer scholarships and freeships to meritorious students so that lack of funds does not hinder education of an otherwise talented and eager to learn individual.
